Belgian and Dutch police raided 9 houses in Flanders on the morning of 4 December in connection with a criminal investigation against Blood, Soil, Honour and Loyalty (BBET), a fraction of the nazi Blood & Honour network in Flanders. The latest swoop, in which quantities of videos and magazines were seized, follows raids on 7 September when 17 BBET associates were arrested and is a spin off from the first investigation that leads back to BBET members involved in trafficking steroids. In Antwerp, two Belgian people were arrested for involvement in a robbery in Delft in the Netherlands at the end of May this year. The two, together with a third suspect Joeri van der Plas cut of a little finger with a small hedge-shears of a 21-year old man, in what the police sees as a competition on the illicit steroids market. Van der Plas was a Blood & Honour's contact person, its mailbox being listed on his name. He is also one of the 6 BBET suspects from the September raids. The other two will soon be extradited to the Netherlands. It now looks like the BBETcase is evolving into a heavy-duty criminal case rather then a case against nazis as such.
